You also have a contact route back to people that can help you.Īsk here what radio alternatives others are using in their EOS and buy something others have found compatible with their model and year. I don't have one but I'm guessing they wouldn't fit them if there were compatibility issues. I know some VW dealerships offer to fit Pioneer brand. If this problem can't be easily fixed I would try to get my money back and spend a bit more. To investigate your battery drain, disconnect the radio and see if the drain fault is still there, if not you know it is caused by the radio. Although I wouldn't hold my breath because my clone still comes up as VW radio module 56 with an error and I know they haven't fully implemented (copied!) the personality of a genuine VW radio. If it is still coded for the VW radio that might be your problem. I would scan the car and see how it treats your replacement radio. These advertizers roll out compatibility lists to include the EOS because they assume it is like every other VW (or rather a Golf) when the EOS has another layer of electronic control for the roof and different control modules are fitted. I know they advertize a compatible vehicle list, but it depends what version CAN gateway controllers you have in the car. CANbus signal codes are sent to turn on and off the radio and some of them have compatibility problems. These non-VW radios can be problematic with a VW CANbus system.
